Our Little Model

Abigail is not camera shy. She has gotten quite used to me pointing and shooting photos of her. Lately she has a very funny reaction when she anticipates the flash. She'll give a quick big smile and then squint her eyes till they are practically shut. It makes it tricky for us to snap the photo at the right time. Here are a few pictures I took the other day of her in one of her new outfits she got for Christmas.

Here is what happens when I don't get the timing quite right:

On the Move

Abigail loves to explore. She has gotten into some interesting predicaments. We recently bought a baby gate to keep Abigail out of the kitchen. Now that she can't get into the kitchen, she tries to get into things in the dining room. The first day we had the gate up Abigail made her way under the dining room table.

This morning Abigail got caught under Jonathan's captain's chair. I had to help maneuver her so she wouldn't freak out. Here she is after I helped get her in the seated position.

When Jonathan was little, his parents used to help him learn how to walk by letting him hold onto their legs as they walked. Jonathan thought he'd try it out with Abigail.

Bath Time

Abigail loves bathtime. She especially loves splashing. We still bathe her in her inflatable duck tub (for various reasons). One of her new fun things to do is to grab on to her Daddy's hands, scoot back on her feet a bit, sit on the edge of the duck tub, and then slide into the tub. Tonight she skipped sitting on the edge of the tub all-together. Tonight she would grab Jonathan's hands, stand briefly, and then plop back down.

Here is a picture of Abigail before tonight's bath.

I have fun sometimes when I wash Abigail's hair. It gives me the chance to sculpt what little hair she has. Here she is with a little curly mohawk.

Random Pictures

Here you go James: a new post to the blog. Things have been generally uneventful. Abigail and I have spent a lot of time together obviously. During the past week or so I've snapped a few funny photos I thought I'd share.

Here is Abigail and her cousin, Constance, with Granny celebrating her birthday...

She must have something on her mind in this picture...

Yes, this is Abigail with my iPod Touch. As soon as it approaches her mouth, though, I snatch it back from her. So far she has managed to move around some of my icons and change my MySpace status...

No, Abigail did not get sent to the corner...she made her way there after chasing around her bottle...she got bored and decided to climb up the wall...

Playing with a musical toy her Papa gave her...
